About the Libraries

The Central Carolina Community College (推荐正规买球平台) Libraries cater to students, faculty, and staff across Chatham, Harnett, and Lee counties through main campus libraries in each location. A joint-use library, the Chatham Community Library, was established in partnership with Chatham County, serving both 推荐正规买球平台 students and the public.

推荐正规买球平台 is part of the North Carolina Community College Evergreen (NCCCE) consortium, allowing online access to the NCCCE Catalog for library users to search and request materials from 推荐正规买球平台 Libraries and 50 other community college libraries. Cooperative agreements provide 推荐正规买球平台 students with borrowing privileges at public libraries in Harnett and Lee counties, as well as Campbell University.

The libraries boast a diverse collection of resources, including thousands of books and audiovisual materials in print and digital formats. Over 80 online databases, including NC LIVE, offer access to full-text articles, eBooks, audiobooks, videos, and more.

Our Mission & Goals

The 推荐正规买球平台 Libraries support the college mission by empowering students, faculty, and staff with the skills to effectively find, evaluate and use information, and by providing access to quality information and technology resources.

Goals:

  • To provide individual and group course-integrated library instruction that facilitates critical thinking, connected learning, and personal growth; classes are delivered in-person and online
  • To provide distance education learners with resources and services equivalent to those offered to on-campus students
  • To provide welcoming and well-maintained physical and virtual spaces conducive to learning and studying
  • To develop a high quality collection of print and digital resources in support of the college curriculum
  • To provide easy access to our information resources and to additional materials available from other institutions
  • To provide current technological tools which facilitate equal access to electronic resources
  • To connect to the college and local community by engaging in outreach activities and maintaining a positive visible presence on campus

Library Borrowing at a Glance

Library Loan Periods

At the Lee and Harnett campuses, students can borrow up to 10 items, public patrons can borrow up to 5 items, and faculty and staff have no borrowing limit. Chatham Community Library has a separate borrowing policy.

The loan periods for items are as follows:

  • 3 Weeks: Books
  • 3 Days: DVDs (Limit 3)
  • 3 Weeks: Laptop
  • 1 Semester: Calculators
  • Renewals: Once. Renew library items in-person or by phone.

Fees

Library records will remain blocked, and no items can be checked out until fees are paid. Fees can be paid in person or by calling the Business Office at (919) 718-7517.
